RACE FACTS

RULES

1. The race will start at exactly 3:00 am, June 18, 2017 at Itogon Municipal Hall.

​

2. The route of the race will be from Itogon Municipal Hall to Tinongdan to Binga Dam - Sitio Baloy then proceeding to Baguio -Nueva Vizcaya Road up to Adunot Bridge and will make a U-turn near Bokod using the same route to the Finish Line.


3. Runners should be at the Assembly Area from 12am to 1:00 am at Melvin Jones Grandstand in Baguio City. Transportation going to Itogon will leave at 1:30 AM of June 18, 2017. Mandatory check-in will be conducted before boarding.

4. Runners are NOT allowed to have a Support Vehicle. Runners may run on “self-support” making sure that they have an appropriate gear, fuel and nutrition.


5.Runners’ Bib should be pinned and displayed in front of the runner’s apparel. NO BANDITS or PACERS will be allowed.


6. Runners are highly encouraged to bring and wear with them their respective hydration system during the race. There will be water station to replenish your stock along the course. Please do not litter.


7. NO Cut-off time. Just enjoy the race and the environment but be sure the sun will not interrupt your momentum.


8. Ipods, MP3s, and other gadgets are NOT allowed. Runners should be attentive and vigilant with their surroundings.


9. For the safety of all runners, the following essential supplies is necessary: cellphone, head lamp, hydration belt, reflectorized vest, first aid

10. Let us preserve the honesty of the race. No Cheating. Marshals and runners are there to report any suspicious of cheating. The RD has the authority to declare disqualification to any runner before, during and after the race.


11. There will be Marshals who will be asking the runner’s bib number in the different Checkpoints along the route.


12. In case of emergency or report of a DNF, a runner may contact RD at

stating the runner’s location and nature of emergency/cause of DNF.


13. Breaking any of these rules and regulations shall be dealt with accordingly.The RD’s decision is FINAL.

THE RACE


This race welcomes you with an unpolluted, long and winding, uphill and downhill path. Trees right and left offers you shelter from the touch of the morning sun. Spoil your run with tranquillity, calmness and coolness. Fresh air encircles you with the sound of tweeting birds. And as you run along, you will be mesmerized by the majestic view of Binga Dam including natural setting of terraces and mountains. There is no trail, just sandy and cemented road. There is no chance to get lost in this out and back course. Houses are few and joining the event is worth an experience. For first timer to do an ultra, you will love this. Just glide and rekindle your past that will make every stride a lot easier. Yes, t’wil be a beautiful reminder of your running career.

Every ultra runner is advised to keep the surrounding free from commercial wrappers and products and the like. Let our footprints be a memento of the path and yeah, only pictures to be taken.
